Harold Adair; I have 2006 Inspire, coach number 51671, with a C9 cat engine. When first started the oil pressure goes to 100psi. It takes a few minutes until the pressure drops to 60psi. Any revs on the engine immediately sends it back to 100psi. Once warmed up the pressure runs at 40psi down the road, and around 28psi at idle.
The above has now developed an oil leak when first started. Once down the road the leak stops. It seems to have quit at the present time. A diesel and truck shop believes the leak to be the rear oil seal. I wonder if the high oil pressure is causing this seal to leak. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
