Has anyone figured out an "easy" procedure for replacing the the black tank waste valve. Seems there is no way to get it out on my 2000 Intrigue.
Thanks for all helpful hints!

Ray, on mine I had to remove the guy tank valve too. On installation, I had to use soapy plastic document covers to assist in sliding the valves back into position.

I had luck on our fifth wheel.doing as the following:
If you can see the slide valve??????? Or can't you get at it?????.............If you can see it, drill a small hole , enough to start a self tapping 3-6 inch bolt into the side and " push open " the slide to empty your tank. Then replace the valve.

No problem Ray.
Get yourself a small hydraulic jack and a few pieces of 1x4x6 wood. First thing to do is empty the tanks and rinse real good. Then you can remove all the nuts and bolts holding the valves on the tanks. Next make a horizontal sandwich of wood, jack, wood and position it inbetewwn the tanks. Slowly jack the jack so the tanks will spread apart and you can remove the valves. When ready to reassemble just reverse the procedure. You can let the jack pressure off a little at a time so you can get all the holes matched up and get the bolts in. Now just let all pressure off the jack, remove the sandwich and put the nuts on.
After I figured this out, I got the valves removed and replaced in less than 30 minutes. I got my little jack at some cheap tool place like Harbor Freight. Cost about 10 bux if I remember correctly
