I have a serious leak in my LR slide. Does anyone have experience with, or a recommendation for, a shop in the Austin, TX area?

Hi Dick

I had a bad leak last year in my LR slide. The water had got in and rusted the upper main frame support of the coach where the trim/seal attached to the frame. To repair the slide had to be removed and the frame rust repaired, new slide seals, etc. Also the lower frame floor had rusted and needed repair. I had work done at Lazy Days in Tampa.

Dick:

I know of a repair facility that I get parts for that is approx. 250 miles from Austin. They are located in Krum Texas. (North Texas RV)

No experience but David's RV Service in Austin gets good reviews.  Lonny & Diane Livingston '04 Allure #31065  you can also look on RV Service Reviews for surrounding cities like Houston or San Antonio.

Thanks, Jack.

I'm hoping not to have to travel that far for the repairs. But if I must..... so be it.

Thanks again,
Dick

Kevin,

Thanks for reminding me... I know those folks.

By the way, any progress on the parts that I need?

Dick

I've been on that review site and on David's web site. He looks like a good choice. I am just looking for a "reliable source" review of his work.

Thanks very much.

Dick- I sent you a PM earlier today but in case you didn't receive it, we use Dan Bailey of TDRV for our coach. We're based in Austin. He has a mobile service. His contact info: 512-970-9185. dantdrv@....
Have used him for, among other things, resealing roof penetrations as well as replacing our Norcold refrigerator with a residential Samsung. He's good and he's fair. Please let him know I pointed you to him.
Hope this helps.
