My Allure wouldn't start, had ignition, but when turning the key to start nothing. Traced it back to the solenoid mounted to the outside rear panel of the fuel filter bay on passenger side. The solenoid had failed, confirmed by using a test light. I then jumped across the terminal and it started. (old 55 ford trick) The solenoid cannot be crossed over from NAPA, Cummins, Fleet or Freightliner.
It's a White Rogers, part number 70-902 and could only be found at CC for about 25.00. There are two of these, one up front in the steering bay that controls ignition and the other in the rear.
I was lucky, home in the garage, but someone else may be stuck on the road when this happens.

I having the same problem with my 2002 Intrigue 11451. Turn the key on to start and no start. I go back and give the solenoid a bang on the side with a hammer than it turns.
It seems to stick, only happens when the coach sits for a week or two.
How can you tell if its bad.

Hi Gary,
Remove the blue number 34 wire from the solenoid and have someone turn the key to start. Using a test light, you should have fire to that wire. If you have fire to the 34, next jump across the big red wire to the brown wire going to the starter solenoid. If it starts, the solenoid is bad. This assumes the other small terminal has a good ground. Mine has a small wire with a capacitor between the two small terminals, make sure it's not grounding out against the solenoid case. If you need the part number, let me know. If all that doesn't help, e-mail me and I can steer you to the next step.

Hi Tom and Gary,
The wire to the start solenoid is no. 33 blu and the capacitor is really a diode which must be installed correctly if the solenoid is replaced. Ref foldout diagram S0699. The start battery should be disconnected prior to replacing the solenoid.

Your right Fred, it is 33 instead of 34, I was going from memory, but at least it's the only blue wire. CC called it a capacitor, you would think they would know, go figure! Please explain how the wire can be put on wrong, they said it didn't make any difference, and many just discard it.
