Has anyone ever used the dryer circuit breaker for an extra 20 amp receptacle. We don't have a dryer in our coach so the washer dryer breakers aren't being used.
I would like to have one receptacle just for the electric space heater we use.

Yes, I took the wires intended for a washer/dryer and extended them to a new plug in the bathroom. Most of the work was cutting the hole for the receptacle. Works fine.

You can do this but for safety's sake, the breaker would probably need changed to a 20 amp breaker. Divide your wattage by your voltage and you can get the proper amperage.

My dryer breaker is a 20 amp and the washer breaker is a 15 amp so I should be good to go if I can find the wires.

If you have the paperwork that came with your coach, finding the wires should not be a big deal as CC was real good about numbering their wires. Or you can power the thing up and plug a lamp into the dryer recept then start flipping the circuit breakers off. When the lamp goes off, you ave found your wires.

My wires were behind a wood panel at the rear of the cabinet where the W/D was to be installed.

Thanks that's where I will start looking. We will be getting the coach ready for our trip south soon.
