I would like to know what your ride is like in a Country Coach Inspire. What have you done to correct it.
What importance does the airbags or shocks play.

Thanks
Ed

We have A 2006 Country Coach inspire. Haven't done anything and the ride, steering are great. No wondering and seems to do pretty good in the winds.

Ed,

I also have a 2005 CC Inspire. Much can be done to improve the ride and handling of this coach.

We got our 05 Inspire a year ago. It has the Koni adjustable shocks & seems to ride good. It wandered (tail wagging the front) badly at first. I weighed it and found it quite heavy on the rear. I brought the rear tire pressure from 90 psi to 105 and it was much better. I've since dropped it back to 100 and still seems okay.

Ed,

I also have an 05 inspire.

When I bought the coach it had a serious wandering and porpoising issue.
After addressing several issues my coach now rides and handles very well.
First set your tire pressures correctly based on your corner weights and tire manufacturers inflation table.
If your tires are over eight years old you NEED to replace them. I'm partial to Michelin. Set your ride height to the high end of country coaches spec, which I have if you need it.
Have an alignment done by a heavy duty truck shop and have the toe in set to 3/8".  Holland nuways spec calls for 1/32 toe in , that not enough. Set your koni adjustable shocks to their highest dampening setting, or better yet replace them with the newer sp3 shocks or even better their new 99 series shocks.
You will also need to replace the anti sway bushings with heavy duty poly bushings made by energy suspension.
If you do all these things you will love your coaches ride and handling.
Good luck,
Rj

Rj Have they came out with the new 99 series shocks for the CC. I need to get a full set because mine has  porpoising issue. I have new  Michelin tires had a 4 corner wt running 105 psi front and 100 psi rear, handles great just need to free willy.

Floyd,

I'm not sure if Koni has come out with the 99 series for our coaches yet. If you call Koni and ask to speak to Justin I'm sure he can give you that information.

RJ Thanks I will call. I know they are out for the Alpine Coach. I would get the Road Kings but don't like the price, but like they say. You get what you pay for.
Do you know of any place around Portland that installs, the front don't look to bad but the rear suck.

I don't know of any shops in Portland. However, I'm sure any HD truck shop can easily handle the job.

My Energy Suspension invoice is in my coach. I won't be able to get you the part number until next week.
I only got my end link bushings from Energy Suspension. I got my sway bar mounting bushings & brackets from Kevin Waite.

I had Koni shocks on my inspire and I went to road king and I had no complaint over the ride. No bottoming out or porpoising. I still have the rear reds that came off if anyone needs a pair. I just bought road kings for my magna and will get in a couple of weeks. I will also has those available if someone wants them. I went 3 inch in front with 2 1/2s rear and tag Rod

I had them and after 25,000 miles they were no better than the shocks I took off. Changed them out for Road Kings and now I am much happier

Bob,

Here is the information for the Energy Suspension anti sway bar end link bushings. Part #4402G (55-57 motor mount) I bought mine in July 2013. At that time I paid $8.00 each.
You will need eight bushings

We found out the swat bar broke on the drivers side. It will be welded with additional support, we are also replacing the bracketts and bushings. Everything was ordered from Country Coach.
So after this is fixed I hope the ride is smooth

Wonder how well the repair will work  since the bar is designed to twist and flex.

Correction:  The u-bolt broke from the chasis. to repair this they will they will remove the sway bar and replace with new bushing and reattach new u-boits.  The metal that the ubolt attaches to will be reinfored on the back side.
When this broke the air bags filled up and the lever that controls the air is attached to the sway bar and so the sway bar was out of position and could not control the air Hence a horrible ride

The anti sway bar mounting brackets that hold the large, blue, bushings DO occasionally break. I had to have mine field welded while camping in Arkansas. I suggest you keep a spare in your coach. This is a very easy fix IF you have a spare mounting bracket RJ

Got it Lori I thought originally you meant the bar itself  broke, this sounds like much more permanent a fix.

Ron,

I have not been able to find part 4402G but I have found 4402 but it does not look like it would work.

I found it on Amazon and at aftermarketsuspensionparts.com.

Does this look like the item you bought?

Amazon.com: Prothane 4-402-BL Black Rear End Link Kit: Automotive (http://www.amazon.com/Prothane-4-402-BL-Black-Rear-Link/dp/B00387NNHO/ref=sr_1_2?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1428615888&sr=1-2&keywords=PROTHANE+4402)

Your email said it was a 55-57 motor mount. Do you know what this is about?

Thanks
Bob Cole

Here is a link to the Energy Suspension web sight. They will be able to help you, just give them the part numbers.
These are the poly end link bushings not the mounting bushings.
