That is a push to release fitting. Push the ring on the outside towards the  fitting and pull the line out of the fitting. Then get a little slack and cut  about a 1/2" off the line and reconnect. That will most likely correct the  issue.

Mikee,

Thank you for the quick response. I was able to remove the hose from the fitting. However, even after trimming the hose back about 0.5 to 0.75 inches and reinserting the hose into the fitting, it still leaked. So, I am off to speak to Holt CAT on Monday to see about getting the fitting replaced (I was unable to get the fitting unscrewed from the engine).. For now, my main problem appears to be finding a way to secure the leak so that it doesn't run fuel onto the engine while I am driving it about 40 miles to the Holt CAT facility for repair.

When I started up my coach (2006 Inspire with C9) this weekend I noticed  fuel dripping under the engine. Further investigation showed the leak  to be from a fitting where a rubber hose connects to the engine at the  rear of the block (over the bell housing where the transmission connects  to the engine). It appears that this is a fuel hose that returns unused  fuel to the fuel tank. The fitting appears to be of a type where the  hose simply pushes into the fitting but I cannot find any way to release  the hose from the fitting. Has anyone had any issues with this return  hose fitting and/or know how the hose releases from the fitting? I have  attached a photo of the hose and fitting

Getting slack is a understatement I had to extend the post with a coupler
