Duo Therm A/C replacement pending, Penguin vs Brisk Air II
We will be replacing both A/C units very soon (with A/C only no heat). I'm soliciting opinions as I make decisions on which model to choose. Any comments out there regarding the Penguin Low Profile vs. the Brisk Air II? We will also be getting a new control unit as well, as the 4 button model is obsolete. The 5 button model is still available, but there's also the new-fangled blue glow model. Any suggestions or comments will be appreciated.

we replaced our front AC with the Penguin Low Profile without heat. We have not replaced the back AC yet.
We left the old 5 button control thermostat. Dometic makes a kit so the new AC will talk to the old thermostat.
Very pleased with the Penguin Low Profile. The inside cover fits so no mods there.
We had ours done in Las Vegas at Apache RV Customs.

Does anyone know of a good campground in Nashville? Going there middle of April and just can't decide on campground.
Thanks

We like Two Rivers Campground or the Nashville KOA on Music Valley Drive. They are right near each other with Camping World in between.
KOA might be a bit nicer but more expensive.
If you choose Two Rivers and if you need a pull through where you can get satellite be sure to make reservations and ask for that as they have lots of trees.

We have reservations at Two Rivers RV Park in Nashville. We have not stayed there before, however,
they do have a good rating in RVParkReviews and they are close to the Nashville action.
When you go, make sure to visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel it's a one of a kind.

And how is the noise level relative to the unit you replaced?

Noise level about the same as the one we replaced. We leave fan on low rather than auto. Quieter, plus it dries out the coils and prevents musty smell. This one cools much better than the old one.

I have replace 2 of the 3 roof units over the last 2 years with low profile with heat (original units had heat). They work very well and seems to have better output at HIGH fan speed when needed. Obviously at HIGH fan speed they are noisier than the originals. Did have to replace the old 4 button thermostat with 5 button and the circuit board in original/old unit to be able to talk to the new thermostat. Last of 3 original units is 16 years old. It will probably give out this summer.
