One complaint I have on our Allure is the flimsy windshield wiper arms. As they move to the outside of the stroke, they leave most of the water or (shiver) snow on the glass. If it is windy, my side sometimes is only half cleaned, leaving large portions that are hard to see through, including where you look through at the mirror.
Is anyone aware of any higher quality arm Assemblies with the same center distance between the drive arm and follower arm posts that the motors could drive without over taxing the motors?

Bill,
I thought the same thing with our coach, (cc intrigue # 11543 - 2003). In fact, once when driving, it looked like the right hand wiper was completely out of rig.
After getting the old wrench out, the problem was solved. You would think that CC would use some Loctite on the nuts.
Bottom line is you can adjust the tension and solve the problem.

There is a 5-6 inch long spring that you can obtain from a truck stop. Costs is 4-5 dollars. It snaps onto the wiper arm and applies some addition pressure on the blade assembly. This cured similar problem on my Magna. Good luck.

Brought back this old posting, as on our first trip where we needed the wipers, we have the same problem. Reading the repair history of our coach, they commented about the same problem. The 'fix it comment' indicated the repair tech's added spring tension attachments (assume as commented on in this thread).
I've looked the assembly over, and do not see any place to adjust nuts for improved tension against the windshield.
What have some of you experts come up with to solve bad contact of the blade to the windshield?
I suppose I could take the springs off, and try to rebend them to make more tension. But, seems like less then a ideal solution. I'm also not opposed to replace the wiper blade and wiper blade holder assembly, if any of you have had good results in the past.

I got new wiper arms from either JD or Kevin Waite who said they were from a later model country coach. It solved the exact same problem I was experiencing. Eric Olstrom installed them for me and also felt that they were stiffing than the original. I won't be back to my motor home until the 9th and therefore don't have the specific part number, etc. Eric did write down the part number so he may have the info.

Flying J carries the after market spring assembly, easy to install and they work well. They can be bent to increase or decrease pressure. I also use Rain-X and between the two changes I see clearly now, with no issues.

Thanks for the input from all. I've ordered new Rain X's blades, and when they get here I'll also bend the clip on springs (on the coach now) to provide more tension.
If this does not take care of the problem, I'll check on replacement arms.
