We have laid out a trip this summer to Nova Scotia. The plan is to drive from Washington State to Quebec city. From there we are headed to Nova Scotia. I have looked at Google maps and put in the beginning and ending places. The route it shows is through Edmunston and Fredericton. We are taking our Country Coach Allure and towing a jeep liberty. Does anyone have any suggestions on the route? We will tour around Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and then head to Campobello, and onto Springfield, MA for the National Square Dance convention.

Sorry that I don't have any suggestions other than I bet you'll have a great time!  I do have a question.  When is the National Square Dance convention?  Oh, my, how we'd love to see some dancing!!  Thank you.

We plan to do the same trip, leaving NW Iowa about the 3rd week in June after a family wedding.  Maybe we can find each other somewhere on the trip?  email me:

We have done this twice by the route as suggested and also by following the shoreline of the St Lawrence all the way to Maine from Quebec City which by in far is the most interesting, however longer. As you are already coming from a long way away, it would be a shame not to visit a far more interesting route for the sake of another 2 weeks or so. The highway is mostly 2 lane but well maintained and you will experience the charms of rural Quebec that do not exist in any other part of our continent. Likewise for New Brunswick which is on your way to PEI. Personally, if I was short on time, I would skip PEI and and do The Cabot Trail which is in Cape Breton Island. Nova Scotia may well take up your whole itinerary as there is a Kodak moment waiting around every curve.

We live in Alberta and are planning the same trip leaving in August. We will go to Coeur d'Alene for a few days and then drive across the U.S. to Sault St Marie as the fuel is cheaper in your country. We will go across Ont to Quebec City and then to Nova Scotia. We have no idea where we are going but it should be enjoyable.
