I still have Direct TV in the Coach, but this is the problem I ran into with them.

I had what I considered original Direct Boxes in my coach that were HD boxes.
One went bad and after the "Tech" determined that the box was bad and needed to put in a new one.

What I found out was that the box I had, was no longer made or stocked so they upgraded (as they said) me to the next newer type box.  When they did this my contract was renewed for another 2 years. I was upset with them and made my point known.  But, as usual it went in one ear and out the other.

Just venting a little, so just be advised .

based on our negative input on the automated customer satisfaction survey, we got a call today from customer retention.  Darrell, quite wisely, wouldn't let me talk to him - lol. He said the solution for the future is to call in a change of address, hang up, then call for service.

just as I suggested in my first email - call in, tell them you have moved, record the new address, then call for service..I have been doing that for years with them.jan06 Intrigue 11951
