Charles, do not think they are repairable, many Cat owners have purchased the Scan Gauge Dash unit, go to: ScanGauge - Trip Computer + Digitial Gauges + ScanTools (http://www.scangauge.com)

You can also use Silverleaf's system. I have their JIB with USB connection to a laptop computer. You can display more information than you care to see. I run the program on a 10" Nextbook computer that I lay flat against my dash gauges.

Go to their website and download the VMSpc program. It is free, comes only in windows, and you can get a feel for what can be displayed. It won't read engine data until you purchase and install their JIB. The JIB comes in various connection forms; blue tooth, usb, serial, and I believe they now have an Android version but it is limited to what can be displayed on the screen.

They also have a forum for VMSpc than can yield more information. Apparently there are some computers that the JIB doesn't work with. I know it runs on both my Surface Pro and Nextbook running Windows 8.

I've tried to attach a jpg file with an image of my display. The 2 ? marks in the upper left corner display the transmission selected gear and the current gear. Something that Country Coach decided to leave out when they went with the single window Allison transmission shifter.
