We just had a discussion about hub caps. How about nut covers? A few of mine were showing some rust, so I bought some replacements at TA. They are 1 1/2 in. When I went to push them on my thumb made a dent. They were too thin. Poor quality. I took them back. Then I bought some more at Love's. They were sturdy like the ones I already have. When I started putting them on though, I could see my clear focused reflection in my old ones. But when I looked at the new ones, I could see an orange peel finish that was much duller. I'm not putting that on a Country Coach. I took them back too. I guess I'll try Pilot/Flying J next.

Has anyone else had this problem? I suspect there are a lot of cheap ones out there coming from China. If you have had success finding good ones, please let me know.

Here you go. Choose your look - chrome, plastic, or stainless.

Nut Covers / Screw Covers / Bolt Covers Big Rig Chrome Shop - Semi Truck Chrome Shop, Truck Lighting and Chrome Accessories (http://www.bigrigchromeshop.com/nut-covers-screw-covers-bolt-covers-c-107_222.html)

I've ordered from them and gotten satisfactory service.

Your best bet is to find a large chrome shop while out on the road. Tampa has a great one, tulsa, and iowa both have the Iowa 80 truck stop..

George,

If you can find a Fleet Pride in your area they carry several types of wheel nut covers.

Just happened to glance at the string topic, in passing, and thought perhaps someone was in the market for a loincloth.
