Water is collecting inside shower dome on top of dome and eventually runs down and collects along the edges. Been on roof and cannot find any cracks on dome and dicor self leveling along all edges seem good and no signs of water on roof. Water is not getting on interior ceiling, just collecting inside dome when looking up from inside the shower. Any ideas what could cause this and how am I going to drain off the water? Thanks!

Sounds like condensation

That's what I am thinking also. Would that indicate a need to caulk interior around shower or exterior on rooftop with dicor - or do both? Thanks!

Steve condensation occurs when inside air temperatures rise, its capability of holding moisture rises as this air wipes itself across a cooler surface such as a window or shower dome the heat is transmitted thru that surface lowering it's capability to retain moisture, it deposits that moisture on that surface. The best solution is to dehumidify the indoor air, you can do this by ventilating the coach or by running one air conditioner on low cool and always low speed fan

Thank you! I have a dehumidifier that I will begin running in the RV. Any idea how I am going to drain the water that has collected inside the dome? Or will it eventually evaporate as I run the dehumidifier?

Illinois. Guess I'll see when dehumidifier runs for a few days if there is a decrease in the water inside the dome. Thanks again for all the assistance!

Thanks again for your assistance. Yesterday, I removed the dome on rooftop, was able to separate a corner of the inner/outer domes and drained the water. Then, I used a fan directed at the corner to blow air in between the domes to completely dry it out. Cleaned off all the old sealant and re-installed with new sealant and new screws also. Found that some of the heads on the old screws had broke so the dome wasn't totally secured to the rooftop. All is dry and hopefully problem solved! Also, just for future reference in case you ever have to remove yours, Kevin Waite told me not to use self tapping screws on fiberglass or plastic because they make the hole too large and then the screw won't bite down to the fiberglass. Whoever worked on mine prior to my ownership used self tapping and I think that may also be a reason that the dome didn't seal down properly.
