I have a 2003 cc intrigue. The Dometic  roof air conditioners are intermittent at best. The night before last they wouldn't work at all, Then about 2 in the morning they both came on and were working fine(50a shore power) until today.  This morning the front unit shut off and I have been unable to get it to come on. Both units were replaced by cc with new ones 2 years ago. The back unit seams to be working fine. I disconnected the shore power (30A) and turned on the generator with the same results. Does any one have any ideas as to troubleshooting. How do I find out if it is the unit or the thermostat control. I have been thinking about changing them out with Colemans with individual controls. glen

Hi Glen

I have a 2002 allure and have multiple problems with my AC's. Turned out the problem in all cases with was a florescent tube ballost for the lights interfering with the thermostat circuit which is wired to the same fuses as the the lights. I have replaced two different lights which solved the problem. When the problem occurs start turning off your flouresnt lights to isolate the problem. It has worked for me.

Hi Glen,

I have a 2003 Allure 1st. Ave. and 3 yrs ago diagnosed my A/C problem exactly as Jack Maloy reported to you.

I've changed most all the Ballasts now, but the specific Fluorescent Light Ballast change out that fixed the A/C problem was the 1st Fluorescent Light in ceiling as you walk in the coach.

The Ballast Fix, was following my changing out the Comfort Control Unit, A/C Circuit Board, all Capacitors and cleaning and/or changing out the connectors on the phone lines.

Let us know your results.

Thanks, Mike 03 Allure 1st. Ave. #30898
