Hi folks...........I need to find out if there is a work-around for the security code for the Panasonic cq-va707weuc rear view camera that is in some of the older coaches.

The in-dash unit has lost power (as in replacing the batteries) and the unit has an unknown anti-theft security code that was put in place by some previous owner. Does that condemn it to becoming a boat anchor or is there a way to circumvent the 4 digit code requirement and make it operable once again?

From what I looked up and asked my electronics tech it doesn't look good if you don't know the code. I'd check any manual to see if it got wrote down on something,  but my understanding is the code had to be set when first setting it up and can't use numbers 7, 9 & 0. Might be able to send it in for service but at that point I'd just replace it for something else. The good news is these screen units have come a long ways  down in price form 14 years ago.

Hi--I googled:  unlocking the code from Panasonic . . . and got several hits.  Try it.
