Title: Destinations Newsletter

Interesting letter from Ron Lee in the current Destinations newsletter.  In it, after some political commentary, he says that his #1 goal is as it was 5 years ago when he bought back the company:  save my property.  So, wonder why he's selling it? >

David, I just had a conversation with Ron. He was not very nice to say the least. He really does not want to answer any questions about selling the plant? Sore subject I guess?

The other side is it is privately held property with no requirement to divulge anything and if in negotiations you should never discuss the transaction publicly until finalized if at all.

That would have been a good response from Ron. But as Country Coach owner's, when a for sale ad shows up you should be ready for questions. I guess we all should shut up if it's privately owned and pray for the best but expect the worst.

I can't see why Ron's private business becomes anyone else's business just because we own a coach built by his predecessor. I'm baffled by some of the goofy thoughts expressed on this subject.

I agree with maintaining privacy with personal business but if that's what you want to do then don't send out a public newsletter on Facebook addressed to your clients / Country Coach owners stating that one of your goals has always been to keep the property.

Yea what George said.......of course both of us will probably now get a snarky remark about hope this doesn't help the subject. This group is better served with discussions helping out other owners who may have problems or questions about their coach. How would you feel if someone drove by your house and saw you having a yard sale, and everyone in your community started saying you must be having money issues because your having a yard sale.

Not trying to be snarky here, I'm a former owner of a business for 22 years that sold to a publicly traded company. The reality is that Mr. Lee is running a business not a garage sale and as such he should share what his intentions are with the sale of the property so as to instill client confidence, not more questions about Country Coach's future.

We'll see what the future holds, and time will tell on the what and why of this strategy.

One thing I've picked up from this board, is a strong feeling that we all want CC to return, and do well. Ron has the experience to do this... I doubt any of us want anything but the best for CC, and Ron personally.

Going to let the dust settle on this, and look forward to CC's rolling off the factory floor sooner then later:)!

Best to CC, Ron, and all of you that as has been mentioned - go out of your way to help the CC owners along their knowledge journey!!! A nice board this be....

There is absolutely no reason why Ron Lee "should" share his intentions about his disposition of his real property.  This is a perfect example of goofy thinking on this subject.

The disposition of the property has nothing to do with the Country Coach manufacturing and service business. We have no idea what the facts are regarding lease encumbrances or other limits to use of the property.

This whole subject would be well treated if we simply let it die. It is none of our business.

Ron Lee made it public not private when he said in this month's Newsletter that one of his top goals as it was 5 years ago is to keep the property. Making that statement and then putting the property up for sale without addressing the rationale creates questions about the long term plans for Country Coach. I don't think that's goofy thinking.
And to be clear I too I'm wishing the very best for Ron, the future of Country Coach and all of us as CC owners...my final comment on this topic.

George, I'm glad you admitted WE have no idea about CC. There is plenty of public info on the internet about the history of CC. It is just fine to comment on a CC forum about CC and the future. CC owners and future owners have a stake in the CC's future. Only time will tell........Snuff said?

I agree Smitty. I hope they get more order's than they can product so we all see everything ramp up. They build a beautiful coach and they now should be able to produce a zero defect coach.

Think this is a no brainer: If you trust him, than you give him as much of your money as you want. If you don't trust him, than go somewhere else.

It's private company so the shareholder, Ron, I am sure does  know and no requirement to share anything.
