I seem to recall that there is a great place to stop for a good steak dinner near Chowchilla. A ranch as I recall. But my memory fails me to remember its name or exactly location. I'm sure many County Coachers have been there. Please help my recall.

Lyle:

Are you thinking of the 'Harris Ranch" off I5 near Coalinga, CA.

Been years for me but it's probably Harris Ranch.

As others have said, "Harris Ranch".

I'll add - Exit 334, I-5

Harris Ranch Inn and Restaurant

24505 W Dorris Ave
Coalinga, CA 93210

(800) 942-2333

Have had many good meals there.

Bon appetit!

It is also permitted to boondock in the      back of the parking lot between the motel and the      store/restaurant, or along the back drive behind them. And as you      drive on I-5 to the north of the aforementioned intersection, be      sure to look to the east to see what fine, healthy conditions are      afforded the cattle. Bison is often available at Costco.
