I seem to have lost power to the Bose. We do have power at the outlet where the subwoofer plugs in but no power to the head. Everything seems to be connected well and it all worked a couple of weeks ago. Ideas? Lyle Wetherholt

Which Bose system do you have?
My Lifestyle 25 has a brick power supply for the head unit. If you have the brick, is there power coming from the brick?

Pete, thanks for trying to help. I guess I don't know what model I have except it is a bose surround system installed in 04 coaches and others. I also don't know what a brick power supply is. This one is powered by a sub-woofer cord being plugged into an AC outlet and then transmitted to the Bose head via a multi-pin connector.

Lyle,
Suspect it is the Bose 3-2-1, as that was the model we removed form our 04 Allure.
If your Bose Receiver is in a cabinet with other components, say a combo VCR/DVD, as it was with our 3-2-1, then check to see if you have power to the other components. If you have any power to any item in that same stereo cabinet, good chance that your Receiver/DVD combo has gone out. However, if no power to any other item in that cabinet. Then you have the opportunity to trace out power feed problems to the outlet itself.
I'd first check to see if other items in the stereo cabinet appear to have power. Then let the braintrust her know, and the 'smart people' (That would not include 04 Allure owner 31017:)!) can help provide trouble shooting steps.
Best to you, and all,
Smitty

Lyle, I also suspect you have the Bose 321 System. I suggest you call the Bose Tech. Team there specific phone number is 800-367-4008, they've always been able to help me.

To find out what you have try looking on the inside of the bathroom cabinet door. All of the model numbers etc should be placarded there.

Lyle,
I have a 2004-42' Intrigue 11719. If you have the 42' unit the sub is under the kitchen sink behind the lower middle drawers. That is where the power plug for the sub is and could be that the plug may have dislodged from the receptacle. If I remember correctly there is no power plug for the head unit in the entertainment center as all power is supplied by the sub.

Jim, thanks for the input and the email. I have already checked the power at the receptacle behind the drawers. All is OK there so the issue is elsewhere. You mentioned the nightmare in the sub-woofer. Can you explain? I was hoping there was a reset button somewhere or maybe a DC relay that failed but so far I haven't found either. The issue may have to wait until we get back home in a few weeks. BTW, for others, yes it is a 321 and I appreciate all of the input..

Lyle,
I believe my subwoofer has a screw in glass fuse on the back panel. Have you checked for this?
