The drivers side wiper arm stuck and the blade turned horizontal bowing out the slider arm. When I straightened the arm I noticed that the nut wasn't very tight on the drive. When I took the nut off the cone shaped spline drive was cracked into two. I put it back together and got it to work for now.
The big question is where to go to get a new one. I may need a new arm as well. We are in Alaska right now and it rains a lot. I hope to be able to limp it home but who knows.
Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to pick up the parts at an auto parts store.
The original arms and blades were probably supplied by AM Equipment, I think, Jefferson, OR.

I second the Rain-X suggestion. My wipers failed due to a bad clock spring in the steering wheel and I had to drive 250 miles in the rain with no wipers. I always use Rain-X washer fluid.

The orignal provider of the wiper system was AM wiper in Harissberg OR. I am not in location where my files are but they ar listed on internet. I just got wiper arms and blades from them. I beleave the person I talked to was Butch. Give them a call and see if they can help you If any of this information is wrong I got there name from Kevin Waitt.

Thanks for all of the info. I picked up some RainX and will try to get home before ordering new parts. The wiper is still working after I put it back together so maybe I will get lucky and it will continue to work for the rest of the trip.
