I am trying to clean the wires to my fan controller. I have found and cleaned the 3 wire connector but the 2 wire goes into the DanFoss control box and I am not sure if I should take this apart to try and clean them or not. I have provided 3 pictures (attached) of the wires going into the control box. Can I remove the four screws to access the 2 wire connection in the control box? I am sure this is a printed circurt board and as such there is certain proto calls that are supposed to be used when dealing with them, correct? Anyway, before I proceed any further I thought I would ask if I should continue opening the DanFoss control box to clean the 2 wire connection in there?
Thanks,

Ken,
I have the same Danfoss controller that you have. I just recently removed the controller and cleaned all the wire contacts. There is no problem in removing the controller as it is a sealed unit.
Unfortunately mine still gave inconsistent fan inputs so I have a new controller on order RJ

No reason to take the four screws out of the Electronic Control box as those wires going into the box terminate into a "sealed potted material" therefore the wires cannot be cleaned or tightened.

Thanks RJ I will take it off and hopefully it will take care of my problem.

Mike,
Are we talking the same engine as I see you have a Cummings and I have a cat? Are the fan control units the same? Just curious. As I have received conflicting advice

Ken, I believe the Fan Control Units are physically the same, the difference with the CAT engine is probably the electronic protocol which can be determined by the part number. Mine is #1090409, yours may be probably different.
