Have you ever driven into Junction City mid-August, turned down 6th Street only to find it blocked at the railroad tracks with a colorful arch, food booths and a big blue and white windmill in the middle of the street?

Warning:  The Scandinavian Festival, 50-plus years old, begins this Thursday, August 6 and runs through Sunday, August 9.  The Festival is the annual fundraiser for Junction City organizations.  It has free entry, over 100 food booths with some of the most amazing offerings and three stages of free entertainment.

"Music On the Road", Jim and Shirley OBrien, will be performing Friday, August 7, Main Festival Stage, 4 to 5 pm and Saturday, August 8, Main Festival Stage, 3 to 4 pm.  This will be our 5th year performing at Scandi, one of our favorite summer festivals, because this is also where we have  purchased three Country Coaches, once during the festival!  We sing and accompany ourselves on our Roland Digital Accordions.

If you are in the area, drop by and applaud!

And how does the Oregon Electric (now P&W) react to this reality? ;-)
