Having some trouble with my slide out for the diesel generator. When flipping the extend switch the motor engages and runs continuously. The slide mechanism operates in a surging fashion, traveling for 2-3 inches, stops, then travels another 2-3 inches. Visual examination of the motor shows continuous operation, even during the times when the slide stops, except the frame for the motor will rotate until the force becomes great enough to push the slide.

I suspect my roller bearings for the slide are faulty. I have used wd40 for cleaning then a graphite dry spray for lube. I called Kevin Waite for replacement bearings but he cannot locate them.

Has anyone had similar troubles and were able to locate replacement bearing?

I had a very similar  problem with the Gen.  slide not extending.  I needed the entire motorized shaft replacement.  I got that directly from CC.  But that was about 10 years ago.  The replacement has worked great.

As a follow up to my generator slide problem. I have located the slide bearing on the passenger side which carries the weight on the guide rail. I found the bearing mounted vertically has frozen causing increased friction and load for the motor. Have called Country Coach twice now to get the part but have yet to speak with a live parts person.

Mark, why not give Kevin Waite a call and see if he can get the part for you. It's worth a try.541-953-6162Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android    From:"Mark mx30mark@... I did, he cannot source it and said I have to go through CC. During my CC experience the factory has been disappointing. Love my coach though.

If you are able to remove the suspect bearing, most any automotive parts store should be able to find a replacement.

Tom,

I need to lift the weight off the rail from the generator. My thought is to use a Harley hydraulic motorcycle stand and remove enough to take the weight from the rails and bearing to back out the threaded bolt attached to the bearing and *hopefully* find a replacement. So frustrated with CC though.

Country Coach manufactured the slide for the generator.

As a follow up, generator slide is fixed with a replacement load carrying bearing. Calling Country Coach and getting a response was not productive. I found a replacement, Koyo CRSB-20 which replaces a McGill CF-1 1/4-SB. These are the load carrying bearings. Still looking for a replacement for the guide bearings.

Mark,

Can you see a part number on the old roller? If so I can probably find it.
