On my way to the CCI rally in Wakins Glenn and stopped for the night in Cooperstown. Lost all inverter powered outlets. When I turn the circuit breaker for the inverter off and press on the remote panel invert, my 110 works. If I turn the circuit breaker on the 110 volt powered outlet stop working.
All 110 circuits like A/C, dryer and refrig work.
My thoughts are my my pass thru circuits in the Xantrex Freedom 458 aren't passing the power.
Any help is appreciated.

The circuits that are working are not powered by the inverter so you can rule out your shore/generator transfer switch.
When you shut off the circuit breaker to the inverter then the inverter does what it is supposed to do and inverts the battery DC volts to AC. The inverter has its own transfer switch and it sounds like you are correct that it is not working.
Just for the heck of it, have you checked the breakers on the inverter?

Check and see if you are getting DC into the inverter, Check the AC out at the inverter. Could be a GFI Has tripped. Check the first Outlet, if it is in fact a GFI and has tripped, No outlets past a tripped GFI will work. Next, check out the transfer switch.

Pete,
Last night it caught fire so now it's toast. To get by I'm hoping to put plug ends on the 2 circuits the inverter was feeding to get the coach powered up on the 110 outles. Will use a portable charger if needed in Watkins Glen and the engine should keep it charged on the way home.
Sorry to not see your name on the lists of people going to Watkins Glen.
Take Care

Keep in mind he stated they work on the inverter with ac removed. It's when ac is applied that the outlets go dead.
This pretty much leaves the internal transfer switch.
When the breaker is on does it charge the batteries?

OUCH. Sorry to hear that Buddy.
Read a post somewhere about inverters that will supplement shore power if you are on a low current source. Think they are called Hybrid Inverters. Could be advantageous if you are 'camped' at a friends house and need more current for a short period without having to run the generator.

Luther,
That's not good... I have the racstar 360 and so far it's working as it should.
How long have you waited or need to wait for the upgrade?
I googled Newsum electronics and unable to ID them. why are they involved in the upgrade?
Not looking forward to having to do that. Keep us informed.

Sorry, I mispelled the name. Newsom Electronics (http://www.newsomelectronics.com/contact.html)
the first time we turned on Directv after ATT bought them, it downloaded a new software(which has the ATT logo along with Directv on the screen when you first turn it on). after that it would not lock on the satellite so we did a 0 recallabrate wide scan or whatever it is called. Still wouldn't work, and about 30 minutes later it came on....I was like WTF? anyway, we stopped for fuel, and while under the overhang, we lost the satellite as usual, so as we started driving again, we tried to reset it......didnt work again......left it on and about 45min later it started working again.......after searching some different forums, i found that Newsom electronics is the only guy supporting these Sat dishes we have......called him up and already knew what we needed......he has a software upgrade that will solve the problem, but he has to send you the adapter you need to install it..im on a waiting list and could be 2-3 weeks. he is a little hard to contact, i had to call a few times....super nice guy, just think he is a one man show. good luck

Why does all this stuff only happen when your in the middle of nowhere and not while you are in Oregon?????
Anyway, my problem is that all my interior lights have come on and can not be turned off.
Except by turning off the house batteries switch by the front door. When they are on, they also fade and/or turn off and on. I do mean every light inside come on. I did a quick look through this yahoo group and did not see any mention of anyone else that had this problem. I feel that is is a relay or something like that. I tried turning off the whole system by the master switch, waiting and turning it back on, but the problem remained.
Also, the power meter when the house battery switch is on, the light where it shows you how much power you are using, the light(s) rotate around the dial on the outside. If that makes any sense.
Does anyone have an idea what it might be. Also in a couple of days we will be in St. Louis...if anyone has any great electrical RV place to go to.

Dave you can try Byerly RV in St Louis. We live nearby in O'Fallon, Missouri. I can recommend a couple of campgrounds.

UPDATE
FIRST Thanks to Kevin and Lee on contacts to help with my problem.
After we arrived at the campground and before I plugged in I turned off all electrical for the coach.
I turned back on the electrical and plugged the coach into 50 AMP power. After the system got power, I turned off and on all breakers in the coach.
Now all is back to normal..... I do not know what caused this weird electrical problem. It did not happen after I unplugged from the last RV Park. It occurred sometime about an hour down the road.
Again, thanks to all who responded.
