My wife and I are considering the purchase of a 2002, 40' Intrigue. This will be our first Country Coach having come from the Monaco family..... Is there any significant items that I need to pay special attention to? The coach in not in my residential area and will have to fly to its location making professional inspection perhaps difficult.  Are there any problems that may haunt this year Intrigue? Any information will be very appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Steve

We have a '02 Intrigue 40ft that we bought new with factory pickup. It had 79 miles on it when we got it.. Thinking back on large items, I have replaced the radiator, exhaust manifolds, and fan controller. These items could go wrong on any brand coach and I wouldn't say that they are brand specific.
We have done some upgrades so there is no reason to get rid of it. It is a solid, well built coach.

I would want new tires, proof the radiator and charge air cooler have been replaced and service records.    If you have a Norcold refrigerator, I would want to know if it has been upgraded or replaced.  I would check the recall list.  Check around slide rooms openings  and front doors for signs of peeling of paint  caused by electrolysis.      Thomas W Insall Jr    2004 Intrigue 11731

The problem is not electrolysis. The proper term is galvanic corrosion. Huge difference.
