I've been reading the posts relative to towing trailers and tongue weight, etc. So, my Inspire supposedly has a 10,000# hitch. I want to purchase a pickup/camper setup to tow behind it and it will weigh at least 8000#. Would I have problems doing that?

Thanks in Advance,

Carol

I have posted before about my issue with towing and my inspire. The fact is towing a trailer with an inspire means that you cannot handle a tongue weight above 600 lbs without using a weight distributing hitch setup. This assumes the standard 10 percent tongue weight of the trailer. As you can are you cannot really handle 10000 lbs using a trailer in tow versus pulling a toad which does not have a percentage tongue weight.
I wish CC advertised this fact better as many dealers are not aware of these facts. The good news is CCI backs the use of a weight distributing hitch so there is a solution.
Email me if you need more details as I am in the final stage of getting correct setup as outlined by CCI.
