Many of the CC clan use OMC for repairs. I wanted to share that on a recent visit, we met Matt Carr (Well known, and also running Carr Industries Cabinets and Countertops.). Matt has worked an agreement on the purchase of OMC. Forma announcement to come soon, but Matt did say it was OK to share the news. As this should all be effective as January 1st.

Matt joins a lady many of you know well, Elaine, his wife. Elaine has been with OMC for sometime now, and besides trying to keep an eye on Jim and Brenda (talk about a tough job) - she has actually been able to get other work done at OMC too:)!

With Matt having been with a great many of the OMC staff at Country Coach (Wood Department General Manager, I believe, for several years), they all know each other well. And, I know myself and another couple who were having some work done on their CC, were very impressed to see Matt 'Hand's On' (Well, actually 'Knees on:)!)') working in their coach on some tile work. Lead by example, and working along with our crew - speaks positively of the OMC future.

I wish Matt and Elaine Carr best wishes, along with the full OMC clan. And, though I've never met Bob Lee - wish him well.

Oh, and yeah, we had a very successful visit, and are grateful to OMC - really is a Class Act. Yeah, things will happen. But it is how a company and their staff respond, that separates the great companies from the oh too common run of the mill companies. OMC, is sincerely a tough act for any RV repair facility to follow!

Best to all, have fun, be safe,

Smitty

That's good news... I've always heard good things about Matt Carr.  Hopefully Jim Cooley stays on there as Service Manager.  You cannot find a better one than Jim.  Even though we moved away from Country Coach over to Tiffin, I still like to take my coach in to OMC for service whenever we are in the Pacific NW.  We're in Florida this winter, by the way, currently enjoying weather in the high to mid 80's and excellent winds for our sailboat at Lake Monroe.  Wekiva Falls RV Resort here is one of our favorite parks anywhere with the expansive spaces, natural surroundings and reasonable seasonal rates.  It's a very pleasant place to spend the winter.  If any of our old CC friends are over this way, stop in to say hello!  Come sailing with us!

Joseph - Agree on your opinion of Jim Cooley. Bob Lee of course knew the CC staff, and as he was the first one to 'start up' after CC going out of business - he knew the best of the best, and I feel they are reflected in the staff at OMC. IMO, one of the major reasons that Bob and Terry have been able to focus on the more important part of life, is that Jim has/is an outstanding Service Manager, and a heck of nice guy too. (Sure, I only know him last a OMC Service Manger, but watching how he interacts with the team, and customers - you can get a real feel for the person.)

Again, Matt was part of the CC and suspect they all know each other well from the CC time. My understanding, is that Matt will be additive to the team, from the top for sure, but additive. I see nothing but positives form the ownership change.

Best to all,

Smitty
