Having a difficult time trouble shooting my windshield wiper failure. They dont work. Checked the two smart wheel fuses and the windshield wiper fuse, all show 0 resistance.

I read about a clock spring in the steering wheel, could this be the problem, where do I find this part and how do I install it?

On my Intrigue, the wipers were the first to go.  The wipers would come on by themselves and then I'd have to turn them off with the smartwheel.  Then it got difficult to turn them off.  Then they wouldn't turn on or off, then the horn quit, then the cruise quit.  This all happened within about three hours of service time.  It was the clock spring on my unit.  Mine was repaired at a service center for about $700.

Mark,

If your other functions are working, he clock spring is good as all button functions go through the clock spring.
I would look at the 12V supply input to P9 and P10 on the control box to see if there is 12V at pin 3 of each connector.  The 12V will be there when the coach in NOT in the park mode (i.e. take parking break off somehow to check) I have the schematic i can email if you want.

Okay, great news. I have the VIP SM 211B smart wheel, I think it came out after 2001. The connector panel is located on the bottom left side of the drivers fire wall. The connector J4 contains all the wipe functions. I followed the trouble shooting guide

http://www.vipwheels.com/sites/default/files/uploads/pdfs/01460-I1V-_A.pdf (http://www.vipwheels.com/sites/default/files/uploads/pdfs/01460-I1V-_A.pdf)

for checking the connections and ground first for partial functionality of the wheel. Sure enough, re-seating the wires into the connector and re-connecting the connector solved the problem. Yahoo, in another thread I will share my experience about the transmission connector coming loose causing a tow, ouch.

Going to pour myself a martini tonight to celebrate.
