Drive and tag tires are dated 1810, so I need to consider new tires. The current tires are 12Rs and the placard calls for 295R80 tires. Does anyone have any specific preference for running one over the other? I'm leaning towards 295s. Not looking for brand recommendations or thoughts....just size.

We run 295s on our coach (2007 Intrigue too, #12153). I suggest Michelin "XZ'A 2 Z" through the Michelin FMCA program . . . good tire, at a good price.

I was thinking of going with the Michelin XAA2 Energy 295R80 22.5

For those interested -- there is a new run of XZA2 tires (in the 275/70R22.5 size anyway)
and are shipping now. I am going to get my 6 this am.

I believe the 295's will have a heavier load rating the the R12's.

For those interested, Michelin does offer a 295/80R22.5 Load Range H,called the X Coach HL Z.
It can carry 8270 lbs (single) / 7160 lbs (dual) at 123 psi. Part number is 31078.
The Overall Diameter is 41.3 inches and it's overall width is 12.0 inches wide.

I'm about to change from 12R22.5 to 295/80R22.5 on my 02 42' Affinity with tag. My tire guy says the XZA2s are the best ride in his opinion. Not sure if he is very familiar with the X Coach H LX.
Single and dual wgt ratings:
12R22.5 XZE 7390/6780
295/80R22.5
XZA2s 7830/6940
X coach H LX 8270/7160
X Multiway 3D XZE 7830/6940
Reviewed a lot of threads with people liking the ride of the XZA2s. Clearly, the X Coach H LX has the highest load rating but has anybody actually have experience with this model yet?

I have a 03 Allure 40 footer Tag, I need tires. Did you measure your 04 allure to make sure the 295 fits

My 03 Allure Cascade came with 12Rs which were replaced with 295/80s in 2009 and again a few months ago 295s support a little more weight than the 12Rs and are about an inch shorter in diameter which could be a factor if your engine is as close to the tarmac as mine is
