Hi, I've been lurking here on the group for some time now just taking everything in. We're looking at a 2002 Magna with about 80,000 miles on it. It presents in excellent condition and appears to be well maintained. Is there anything I need to look for or should ask about specifically? I consider myself very mechanically minded and have restored cars, large trucks, and tractors in the past. Thanks everyone in advance.

I have a 01 magna and love it. I would recommend even with having a mechanical hiring a certified inspector to go through it for you. Hope it turns out great because that year range of the magnas are awesome

Just remember, looks ain't every thing. CC is not immune to problems and if you are looking at the one that Karolina Koaches has for sale, run from that dealer like your life depended on it.

Some coaches from that period experienced paint pealing due to electrolysis between different metals. Trim around slide out openings, front door panels and trim etc. All coaches had charge air cooler issues. I'm not sure about radiator failures. Nobody has original tires, but this is the period where CC and Toyo had big issues, with tire failures causing accidents. Check Damon Rapozo CC site for info about the coach and upgrades.

There are many things to look for I'll give you a couple. Water and rust damage these can be costly. On the inside look in all compartments, around windows and openings if you see any water problems it's probably worse than it looks. Rust everything rusts eventually and can be keeper up with to a point however folk who drive their coaches on salted roads will show there distruction under the coach so look well underneath. Even with a good coach that you purchase plan on 15k in repair the first year and about 5-8k ever year after that for older coaches that can't be warrantied.
