Was your coach plugged in to shore power when you found the batteries dead??
Fred Kovol did a detailed explanation on a prior post on how the chassis batteries charge while the engine is running. Basically, the house and chassis batteries become one via a solenoid that is closed via an auxiliary oil pressure sending switch that CC adds.
Depending on your year and model coach, you may have an Echo Charger in your inverter compartment, or electrical bay that charges your chassis battery.
If your coach was plugged in, and your house batteries were dead, there is another problem.
Do a search on Fred Kovol's post and see what you find.

Thanks, I'll checkout Fred's post. No, the coach was not plugged in for two weeks and I had not flipped the disconnect switches off. New coach to me and I'm still behind the learning curve!
I popped the panel and located the inverter/charger, but don't see an Echo charger (it's a '98 Allure). The info on the charge circuit is interesting, I'll check out Fred's message and then back to the schematic. An oil sending switch is clever, my dolphin had a timer relay that fired a solenoid after the engine had run for 30 seconds.

I located the oil pressure switch in the drawings and see how it can activate the boost solenoid just as if you had the boost switch on. I feel better understanding this.
Another question - how do I know if I have an Echo Charger - would it be in with my inverter (it isn't).
