Does anyone have instructions? Do you have to remove thermostat to do it properly? Are you supposed to use a chemical cleaner? I have a c12 cat.

Here is a write up from Brett Wolfe, a gent that many RV'ers respect. I followed these basic steps when I did my change to Final Charge.

If you do not know the record of the thermostat, or the condition of the hoses, it's a good time to get these caught up too.
Best of luck to you,

Unless the thermostats were changed last week I cannot imagine not changing them with the coolant change. A proper coolant change is a big deal and you would not want to lose the new coolant when the thermostat starts acting up. Thermostats will fail and best not to have it happen on Christmas Eve in the middle of New Mexico.

Thanks Smitty. One question that is not addressed in that writeup: Is the filling all done through the big stainless coolant tank where the radiator cap goes?
