We have a drawer that has lost its resistance to opening, the feature that keeps the drawers shut during travel. Don't see any obstructions. Does anyone know how to remove the drawers and fix this kind of failure?

If they are like my Intrigue, the slides/glides can be replaced. On each side of the glide, with the drawer fully extended, there will be a small plastic lever. On one side the lever goes up and the other side it goes down. Press and hold the levers on each side and gently pull the drawer out of the track. You may find that removing the drawer completely and reinstalling it will make a difference. Also, switching out the loose drawer with another like sized drawer will buy some time on replacing the glides. They are soft close glides and up to 22" glides are available at Lowe's Home Improvement Store. Longer lengths can be bought or ordered at a cabinet shop. It's possible they are available from Country Coach or Kevin Waite may have a resource.

There is a little plastic dog in the back that holds the drawer closed. These parts are available from Country Coach. Last year they were about a buck apiece. Can't remember the exact name but Greg @ CC knows them. Just give him a call.

There are two plastic levers, black, recessed one on each side of the glide. One must be lifted up , the other pressed down, to release the drawer from the glides. Once done if you look in the back there are either two grey or two black plastic inserts with a spring loaded prong that grabs the drawer when closed. Replacements are free from Davis Cabinets and Oregon motor coach if your a long time customer. Northwest RV supply in Springfield normally stocks them. as well as others. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731. Make sure the drawer glide is aligned vertically with the casing that is mounted to the cabinet. If not you will get premature ware on the prong causing failure.

George,
Most of the of the drawers have Accuride slides and the resistance pieces can be replaced. Call Accuride with some of your info and they will send for free. They are suppose to have lifetime warranty.

George, Call Accuride @562-903-0200 or 562-903-0380 ask for George in parts, you'll need to get a drawer out of cabinet and identify if your springs are Gray or Black.
George might send them to you free.

Thanks Mike and others who replied on the drawer problem. I did remove the drawer and saw that one of the soft close devices had failed and released the spring. I removed the rail that is screwed to the side wall. Kevin Waite does not have these, but he told me to contact Accuride, the manufacturer. I emailed their tech support a photo of the black device. Good to know to ask for George if I have to call them.

HELP.....Every e-mail I receive from the Yahoo Country Coach Group is addressed to Kevin Waite. Also, every e-mail I receive from the Yahoo CC Group is FROM Kevin Waite.
This started about one month ago. The e-mails are not actually from Kevin. They are from Mikee, Smitty, etc.
I looked at the yahoo group site but I cannot see anyway to follow x the problem.
I have talked to Kevin who says he did not send the e-mails.
Does anyone one know how to fix this problem?

It obvious that you have some type of bug with Yahoo/CC Forum.
It's just a suggestion, but I would delete any and all reference of Yahoo from your computer and shut it down. I would even unplug the power that would include the battery if you are using a laptop.
Then, reload yahoo and see what happens.
I tried this with other programs and sometimes it works and sometimes is does not...

I replaced all my drawer spiders and that last about that long. Then I replaced them again with 5lb pull latches, little harder to get just right but they will stay closed. Helps to have a 45 or 90 deg drill, center of drawer up front on the bottom. Also installed one on my Samsung 197 freezer drawer.

I also installed one of these on my Samsung freezer. It works great. The freezer never opens while on the road and I don't have to remember to tie it closed.
