My first post, I have been lurking for a few months now as we are the proud new owners of a 2005 Magna.
Learning where everything is and how to use it has been an education. Thanks to this group we have figured it all out. New tv's, satellite dish, stereo, and a hundred other little details have gotten our coach up to speed. We love it!!
Now that all the big things are fixed (and we know how to use them) we are working on the little stuff.
It seems the window awning remote control is missing so I bought the telis 16 and am now trying to program all the awnings in. Very simple with the remote for the patio awnings but the wireless switch for the window awnings is all I have, the newer models have a programming hole like the remotes but not this one. Any ideas?
I have searched the web and this switch is just too old for there to be programming instructions. Nothing in the huge file box I received with the coach either.
Thanks
Bill

Congrats on new coach! They are awesome. I am also a new owner of a 2006 Magna so I can relate to the satisfaction you get by mastering it "" not a trivial task! I have two remotes, one for the patio awnings, one for the windows, so not sure I can help there. One thing I will say, and you may have already done this, but go through the chassis thoroughly. I did all fluids/filters (oil, fuel, coolant, air, belts) on engine, tranny and generator, and air system. Also lubed chassis and changed differential gear oil. I also did the PTO wet kit ( the dry one had 58K miles and looked like it was about to go). I also replaced the rear tires (aged out). It was a big bill, but is like a new coach again, and runs and handles marvelously. I vow to never break down on side of road again!

Thanks Greg
We have done all that and more, maintenance items first, although we were fortunate in that the previous owner had done the wet kit. I am a do-it-your-self-er and we still spent upwards of 10k on the coach but it was worth it.
Thats my problem I am missing one and no idea how to program to the switch in the cabinet. Like I said a minor issue but one we are hoping to solve.
hitting the road in the morning for a short trip.

Update in case any of you have this obscure problem in the future.
The program button is under the plate, once the switch is removed its programing can be cut-and-pasted to any other remote per the instructions on the somfy site.
Now have the telis 16 doing all kinds of dog and pony tricks with the shades and awnings.

Bill,
I also have a 2005 Magna. Are you saying the interior power shades can also be programmed with the Telis controller, or is it limited to the exterior window shades and awnings?

My next little challenge will be to incorporate the blinds into the tells, if the rollers are wireless then is should be easy, I know the switches are an old Somfy switch so they should be, but I just haven't had time to mess with it yet. I will post back with results.
If anyone knows already that would be a huge help...

This wireless remote is pretty interesting, I'd like to know more about how it works out?
We have a 2005 Magna 630 Matisse that we purchased last August from its second owner. We are in the process of getting to know it and there seems to be a lot to learn - whew!
Are there any Magna owners in the San Diego area?

Hi Mike,
We also are "new-to-us" Magna owners, we just bought a 2006 Magna 630 Rembrandt. Like you, I am amazed at the beauty of the design and function that went into this coach. Sure there are some little problems here and there to solve, and some of the A/V technology is a bit dated, but I am happy studying all the manuals, tackling them one at a time. I am also interested in mastering this wireless remote to do other things in the coach. Personally I am better at the mechanical things as opposed to the technological things, but I find it all very interesting. We are in Texas now, but will be moving to CA in June. I plan to store the coach in Perris CA, so sort of close to San Diego. Send me an email, kaw4@... (kaw4@...)
