Hi All,
Just spent 5 days in the coach in York PA, ended up dry camping despite 30 amp power being available because when I plugged into show power, heard a brand new super loud buzzing sound from transfer switch and no shore power charging per inverter reading. Of course it was fine at home when I left, always plugged into 30 amps at home. And this week everything charged fine off the generator while I camped in it, per inverter readings. Now it is misbehaving at home too just like it did at York.
We installed the current transfer switch about 4 years ago after the original switch became dysfunctional, probably due to surge from lightning here at home. Has worked well no issues till now. BTW the unit always has an inline surge guard in place.
I have a ESCO ES50M-65N transfer switch in it, just wondering your thoughts about what could be going on/ if fried etc.
Thank you in advance,
Carrie Chase

Buzzing can come from low voltage or amperage. Voltage being most likely causing the relays to not fully latch.
Depending on how long you let them buzz they could be weak now.
Measure Input power for each lead at the transfer switch.
