I was just told my AC #2 condensate pump was locked up and needs to be replaced. $87 plus tax and labor. Don't know how much the labor is yet. I never knew there was a pump for the condensate drains. I always thought it was gravity fed. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks,
Britt

I've replaced one condensate pump and thought that another one had gone bad but the wire from the start capacitor to the pump had burned.

Anyway, yes they have condensate pumps not just gravity.

At least my 2006 Intrigue does.
