I've watched the posts on creeping seals for some time but while mine had moved a little they were not really a problem until this past summer. The seals in my windows have moved far enough into the window that you can now see light between the seal and the window frame.
Country Coach simply says they cannot help.
In an effort to help all owners that have (or have had) creeping seals on SeGi windows I am attempting to build a database of the units that have experienced the problem.
I have spent 30 years in the Automotive Business and believe I may have the resources and means to get us help on this problem.
If you have experienced the creeping seals I encourage you to send me an email indicating the following information:

Joey, we had a 95 Magna that had window problems. CC did not participate in the replacement. Segi gave us the windows, we could either pay shipping or pick them up and then we paid for installation. Have you contacted SeGi? Dale 2002 Affinity 6129
Yahoo Message Number: 8011 (http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Country-Coach-Owners/conversations/messages/8011)
CC contacted SeGi for me but advised that they would not assist.

The response within the first 24 hours tends to indicate that there may be a case for "Secret Warranty" which, by the way, is not legal.
SeGi appears to be selectively helping CC owners with different policy adjustments without notifying all owners of the availability of such adjustments.
From the responses so far approximately 50% of CC owners with the problem have been given adjustments from complete replacement, to parts replacement both with and without shipping.
I will continue collecting this information until it is reasonable to either approach the government with the data or seek litigation. I will keep you posted on the progress.
If you have "Creeping Seals" in your CC windows please provide the following information:

Many of you have responded to my email direct which is probably best so that we do not clog up the forum with this problem.

That doesn't surprise me at all. The same situation applies to many problems. One that I can think of is the problem with dissimlar metals causing bubbles to appear on doors and on slideout frames. I have talked to several folks who have been able to get the factory to fix these problems for them without charge. I have the problem on the entry door and on the slideout frame, the factory has rejected my telephone requests to fix this manufacturing defect. Many coaches have this problem and it should be the subject of a recall...it appears that most of the recalls on Country Coaches are for problems where vendors are liable for the costs....I've seen very few recalls where CC assumes responsible for the cost. In my own case, I had to pay shipping costs for a CAC to be shipped and then I had to pay for labor while a CC Vendor provided the CAC. The replacement CAC developed a leak within a year and then CC was able to get the vendor to pay all costs to ship and install a 2nd CAC. That is the action that should have been done on the 1st one but I was unable to convince CC to do that even though I have had a problem with black smoke from day one....it appears that the original CAC was leaking the entire time it was on the rig and that was my justification to CC which I believe was valid.

Joey -
We also had the creeping window seal issue but have had it resolved. Our unit is a 2000 CC Allure, Model LaPine, Coach #30536.
Hope this helps.

Has SeGi determined a cause for the Creeping Seals?? Is it defective seals SeGi won't admitt to?? Or the enviroment the Coach is exposed to?? i.e. Constant HOT, Sunny Climates. Not a problem, yet, on our '01 Intrigue, Lee in Not so hot Portland, Oregon, it lived in Salt Lake City Prior to us.

The response is greater than I expected on problems with the Creeping window. It has been suggested that I should also be requesting the date code of the windows. I agree. Please add the date code to the information if possible.
Again, it is probably best to send directly to my email so as not to clog up the forum.

If the problem has been handled by either CC or SeGi that information is also very useful.
Thanks

My coach has spent most of its life in Wisconsin and Michigan. We are not too familiar with "constant HOT, Sunny Climates". It is possible that you will still get to experience the problem. It did not show up on my coach for the first three years.

Note: Of the seven windows in my coach 4 are exhibiting the creeping seal problem. I contacted CC several months ago and they coordinated with SE-GI to ship me replacement windows for the four that are currently exhibiting the problem. I had to pay shipping and will have to pay for installation when I decide to change them out. My concern is that if these replacement windows are an exact fit to a predetermined measurement. Also, the other remaining three windows will likely exhibit the same problem in the future. I don't wonder if, but when and if CC will be there to provide replacements.

Would anyone that has this problem be able to post photos of the problem windows on the photos section of this group. I would like to know how to recognize the problem. My windows have always, since delivery new in January 2000 had an opening at bottom of the windows where you see daylight. It is a small opening but large enough to allow small insects to enter the coach...not sure if this is same problem that you all are describing.

-Joey, I have a seal in the window left side of coach just behind the driver, the seal on the lower forward edge seems to be moved up toward the middle of the window. Is this the condition you are questioning? I have a '99 Affinity, #5714, 19200 miles, I am second owner and this condition exsisted at the time I bought the coach.
