Hi Folks,
My Bay Doors had 90# Gas Struts. I assume they are the originals. They would not keep the door up. I ordered 90# to replace them and they stay up but are very hard for us to start to open, they compress slightly before reversing. Has anyone reduced them to 60# and had satisfactory results.
Thank you all,
Chris

On my Intrigue there was only one strut per door. I could see potential problems. So when the plumbing bay door started to delaminate I resealed it with Gorilla glue and made a deal with CC. They provided the new struts and attachments, and replaced the single struts with double struts rated at 40 lbs each. I paid half the labor. That was close to 10 years ago. Everything is still A OK. 2004 Intrigue 42' 11731
I learned something the other day. My rear suspension. Duals and tags is the same that was supplied with the 2003 Magna and there fore uses the same shock absorbers. So don't believe what Koni publishes, for 2003, 04 and 05 Intrigues with Tag axle. Our rear shocks are red not gold. Thanks again to Eric. He has the factories drawings and specifications soft ware.
