Last October we stayed at Two Rivers near Sevierville. Very small park (only one street) but very close to the interstate leading into Knoxville. It was very clean and quiet. Not much at all for amenities but still a nice place to stay. I would stay there again if in the area.

unfortunately there are no nice RV parks in Knoxville immediate area. Sevierville is the closest. We like River Plantation RV Resort. Fairly near I-40. Make sure you take exit 407 (hwy 66 south). Do not try Hwy 441. 27 miles from Knoxville.

There is a KOA in Clinton TN (24 miles from Knoxville) but most of their sites are not big rig friendly. If you choose the KOA call them for availability for big rig and don't book online.

Our favorite in that area is Anchor Down RV Resort. A beautiful resort overlooking Douglas Lake with the Blue Ridge mountains in the background. This resort is approximately 5 miles south of I-40 (exit 412) and 15 miles from Sevierville. Checkout their website for a glance of this beautiful facility.

Sevierville is a great starting point for a trip through the Smokey Mountains.
