2006 Inspire, 360, 36 ft, Quad Slide: Passenger side bedroom slide (with cupboards and shelves) is very sluggish. Last summer its shear pin sheared and I replaced it with a Grade 8 bolt and it worked well for a time. The mechanism is mechanical - the 12v gear motor is in the engine compartment. Over time, on RETRACTION only, it began to labor. (It EXTENDS easily, even now.) I lubed the underside of the extended portion to no avail and it has grown progressively worse. It now stops midway in unless I help it by pushing from the outside until about 3/4 in, then it glides slowly the rest of the way. I can't see anywhere to lube, or service it. Can anyone suggest a remedy? I am reasonably talented and equipped to DIY. Much thanks in advance!

I had the same thing happen with mine. It turned out to be the guide roller at the rear of the slid on the inside had got some fabric from the carpet in the roller. You need to remove the cover to clean the roller, the cover has carpet on it with 2 or3 screws holding it down you need to pull the carpet back to find the screws.

Thanks much, Jim! I didn't find any debris in the guide, but some lubrication did the trick. For those who may find this thread by a search: The 'guide roller' on mine was just a 'guide slide.' It is under a step cover just in front of the washer/dryer cabinet. It was held there by three philips screws just in front of the cabinet doors, and one screw on the far right vertical riser of the step. I was lucky in finding the screws without removing the carpet. I have included a picture.
