Hi all,

I have a 2000 Allure and the fuel tank mounting straps need to be replaced. Country Coach and Oregon Coach say the straps are not available and have to be custom made. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thx,
Brian

Hard to believe that tank straps need replaced. If Oregon Motorcoach says they need to be fabricated, I would believe it.

You could take one off and go to a machine shop and see what they have to say.

With your coach being a 2000 these straps should be available at one of the many RV salvage yards. One in Missouri outside of Springfield-Joplin.]another is Vision (ck. spelling). Google search might have these and others.
Before calling other CC models might be using these straps. That bit of info might be available in the CC parts manual interchange / listed with other CC coaches.
I sure would be interested in having a picture showing damage to straps.

Had the same problem. Have to be fabricated. One had actually broken and the tank was listing. Went to fabrication company. The straps were easy, but they seemed to have trouble with manufacturing the u bolts since they are shaped oddly. Eventually made out of threaded rods. Used stainless steel this time. For both was about $200.
