Hello all,

We managed to break the door off the pantry with the slide, apparently it came open from a large can hitting it and opening it slightly. When my girl opened the slide POP! And we need a new door.

Any Ideas on replacement? I want it to be as close to the same as possible. Cabinet shops around here are not really what I would call high quality. I am hoping to ship it to a shop that can reproduce it.

Thanks for the help.

I had a local cabinet maker replace mine. it was about $400 for just the door - basically because it was a one-off custom job. I can send you a pic and if you like it I can see if they will make one for you.

Bill..........You didn't say if the door was absolutely destroyed or just snapped in two. If the latter, you might try some good wood glue and a couple of bar clamps to hold it together until the glue dries. I've done that in the past with excellent results. FWIW

One I have heard on here before is if you call CC with your serial number and what piece you need they can make it including matching teh stain and ship to you.

How expensive and whether all years and models don't know.

We might be better to help you with pics of the door. As a retired woodshop teacher, it is unusual that the door is unsalvageble.

This is a great idea for this in particular and a good way of thinking, at least from my point of view, for things like this for our coaches. Thank you, Robert McCleron!

I'm sure Davis Cabinets would do very well. I've never worked with them, but they had a great rep...

That being said, I can confirm the quality of Matt Carr. And, as the new owner of Oregon Motor Coach, another well known and respected CC supporter - you have the chance of 'One stop shopping:)!' on both getting the door replaced, and any other coach work too... For sure, a no lose situation:)!

Best of luck to you,

Smitty

I would say that a call to Oregon Motorcoach is in order. The owner, Matt Carr worked in the CC cabinet shop and probably could make door for you in his sleep. Matt still has his cabinet shop http://www.carr-industries.com/

We managed to do the same thing with one of our stained glass cabinets. Didn't completely break the frame and Premier in Junction City was able to get it back together and restrained. Looks good as new now. Very pleased with the work.

Whoops! Wrong phone number.

I just sent the following message ... strike the included phone number and replace with the following number for Scott Adams. 541-556-0501

Contact Scott Adams who owns "Amazing creations" in Junction city, OR. He's a former CC employee. We needed a custom size cabinet door when I was re-doing our forward TV and video cabinetry and he was able to perfectly match the existing cabinetry and made the perfect size cabinet door per my specifications. He did a lot of other stuff for us while we were there and his workmanship was top notch and his price was very reasonable. Contact Scott at 406-494-1959. Contact me offline if you need more details.
