I have an 04 Allure and was wondering if anyone can tell me what that tip switch is for. Looks like a fan but I can't find it in my manuals anywhere.

can't believe an allure owner hasn't responded with the answer. I would bet on the over head fans, those above the windshield.

Just to be sure, is that the switch in the center council? Middle switch shown being for the the stairs cover in/out, and the bottom switch not completely shown being for the Leveling Reset?

If so, then this is the switch that whomever sold you the coach was supposed to make you sign the non disclosure promise. You see, the Allure's are really a Prevost coach in disguise, one level above the Concepts of old. Once our out of camp and on the road, pushing that switch does just what it shows:

"It blows the exterior sides to flip around away from their in camp disguise of a mere mortals RV, and reveals the Prevost based rolling rockstar bus...." (How do you think the hollywood crowds RV without us all hounding them?)

And now back to our normal method of helping each other, I will tell you I do not recall:)! But, will be in the coach in the AM, and will find out. Of course, I suspect others will beat me to the answer...

Best,

Smitty

I had a 2004 Allure and in my coach the correct answer is the switch gives control of the dash fan speed to either the driver or the passenger depending on the position of the switch. Both sides can control the temperature on their side but the fan speed can only be controlled by one side or the other at a time if memory serves and it has been 4 years.

Looks like a fan switch to me. My 2002 Allure has the front window fan switches in a different location, but from the symbol on the switch, I would say it is a fan switch.

There is nothing like that on my '09 Allure.

Allow me to console you.  There are others who have not divined the purpose of that switch, me included.

Perhaps you are mis-reading?!

Not a "tip" switch but a "trip" switch that controls the data on your dash for trips, transmission temperature, etc. Try pressing it. Hold it to clear & reset.

Looks like it would be master switch for dash fans.
