We decided to put flooring and get that dam carpet out. I am finished carpenter by trade, so me and my partner decided to tear out carpet, install Laminate flooring, and refinish the cabinets. Came out Great. Made a beautiful engine compartment in rear bedroom, and did a rubber floor on riverside that match the original rubber steps. Also in entrance way, we took out al the carpet on the stair stringers or the walls on the steps. Took all the carpet out.
Looks amazing. We are both country coach owners, and truly enjoyed the project.
If anyone is in North Carolina, Charlotte area, and wants a high quality job on there Country Coach Give me a call 704-675-0260

Take Care

If you had carpet on the main floor near your large living room slide, I am curious how you handled that. Our big driver's side slide slides across the carpet on the main floor. If a hard surface floor is installed, there does not appear to be any way to modify the bottom of the slide room to keep from damaging the new floor.

Can you post some photos?

I installed engineered hardwood floors in my 2005 Inspire 2 years ago.
They turned out great, the big drivers side slide does not scratch the floor when being retracted & extended. I think the trick is to not exceed 3/8".
Pic attached (I think).

Thank you for the question.. You need to use 3/8 thick material as it will butt against the tile. It will be just a 1/16 less then the carpet and it will slide no worries as it will be thinner then carpet..

I installed a 5/8" engineered maple flooring with a 1/4" cut vernier (top layer). Sanded sealed and applied three coats urethane.

Flooring looks great, does the slide roller leave marks on the hardwood floor, similar to the carpeting? Mark 07 inspire
