Title: Any Portland OR Area RV Parks with Good Ratings?

We will be in the Portland area in September and the ratings for the two RV Parks where we have stayed in the past have become dismal (Columbia and Fairview). We will be driving the tow to the airport so a 30-mile or more distance is fine. Does anyone have experience with RV Parks with a rating above a 3? Are there any gems in that area? Your valuable experience is appreciated.

We just stayed here when we were up last month. A section has lots or trees and the sites are large. Water and electric all sites very few in park with full hookup. Price is good too.

I would second that. We stayed there when we were having the house remodled and it is a nice park about 45 minutes from the airport.

I can second the recommendation for Champoeg State Park, but try to get a site with full hookups (not all gave them). Also, though less densely treed consider the B loop, it has much larger sites and is newer. Your Coach will fit there better and more full hookups. Avoid the inner sites on the A loop like the plague...they put them at a 90 degree angle to the (narrow) road and they are hard to get into.
If you don't mind being farther out (30 min) then L.L. Stub Stewart is another nice state park. TV at both of those parks is quite sketchy.
I live in PDX so don't camp in town often (we use both of the state parks frequently for rallies). Champoeg is the better choice to be closer to town and more activities/shopping, and there is a Pilot Flying J right at the Exit (along with 1-2 other fuel options).

Stayed here http://www.silverspurrvpark.com/#!rates/c1m3p in March of this year for a few with our CC 36 Intrigue. Nice place seems rated at 4.2. Good Luck Vince

Just don't stay on the lower level of Fairview, unless your a railroad fanatic and like to listen to trains at all hours. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731.

I should have added that if you want a commercial park you can look at Pheasant Ridge RV park. Trip Advisor rates it about a 3.5, Good Sam gives it good marks but others are not as kind. Do your own research. I drove through once, sites seemed adequate but not large by any means, staff was businesslike but pleasant, place was clean. A bit closer than Champoeg to Portland. We have never stayed there. A little hard to find.

I haven't stayed here (Silver Spur) but friends have and they liked it.

Check the area around Vancouver, WA. We stayed at a park on the Washington side, overlooking the Columbia River. Clean and quiet park.
