What exactly does the number mean?? We are #6954 but have no idea what that means? Is it year built? Order of build? Coach model? Or what?? thanks for the info.

Order of build for the given model. For example Magnas are in the 6000 series. My 2006 Magna is #6642. So your coach being #6954 is 312 coaches after mine. I guess you are probably model year 2008? The Affinity's are 7000 series, the Intrigues are 11000 series, Allure's 31000 series, and so on. Hope that helps...

I've always understood that 6642 would mean: the 42nd Magna built in '06.
6954 would be the 54th Magna built in '09.

Hi All,

I always understood that the Magna's and Affinity's were all in the same number series. Shared the same running number series for the year. But I stand corrected, I think someone like at CC or, a Damon or Kevin told me that?

My 1998 Intrigue is #10661. Following the proposed formula with model year in it there is nothing there to indicate it is a 1998 model year. Maybe the "1xxxx" indicates it is an Intrigue, and it is the 661st Intrigue to be built since the beginning of the model line? That might also make sense if Robert made a typo above and his 2001 Intrigue is actually "11315" making it the 1315th Intrigue in the model's history. This math also puts the average number of Intrigues per year between his & mine between 160-210 per year, which maybe seems believable? I don't know how many of each model were made during which years; this would be very interesting info to know though if someone has it :-)

I am the original owner of a 2001, 42' Bed and Breakfast Affinity # 5972.

From my memory of the pickup orientation at the factory.

1. The coach 4 digit number is simply a Sequence Number only.

Both the Magna and Affinity lines were manufactured on the same mfg. line and therefore share the same number sequencing series.

At that time the Allure and Intrigue coaches were manufactured in another building and those two shared a different series. I don't know about the other more recent models.

2. The coach four digit number had NO other meaning.

That is what I remember.

Yes, that is the way it was explained to me and I think it was Kevin or Damon. As I mentioned, I thought they called it a "running build number" that was shared by the two brands, as they were built in the same plant. When or what the starting number was, I have no idea.
Make since, you are a 2001 Affinity #5972 and I am a 2003 Magna #6269. Just a sequence as you called it, nothing more. I don't know what the other brand numbers mean, may be different? Chris

That would be about 97 Magna coaches per year, 8 per month. Seems possible during those boom years.

We bought our '95 Intrigue (#10096) 10ish years ago from Guarantee RV in Junction City. We had arranged the sale by email & phone, contingent on an inspection, which we had done at a local Cummins service center. The service manager there had worked for CC in the mid-90s and he commented that ours was the 96th Intrigue built. 1995 was the model's inaugural year, so that seemed to make sense.

In the time we have had it, I've been all over our coach and have found the number 96 labeled on every conceivable part. As the most recent examples, this would have been the sink in the bathroom, which we had to replace, and the cowling in the water bay, which I disassembled to re-plumb the whole coach. So it seems that CC labeled each piece of each coach, probably to ensure that everything fit together according to each model's plan, which would have changed from year to year.

Hmmm, mine is a '92 CC Concept, # 5417, with most of the separate components (e.g., Sunroof framing, cabinets, couch, etc. marked with the number as well. When at a CC Rally in Albany a few years back, we dropped by CC to get a copy of the build sheet, which we as the fourth owners, did not have in the paperwork that came with the coach. Indeed minus tile replacement, #5417, matched the build sheet as far as we could tell.
I thought they were sequential as well until I saw your email. How did a '92, #5417, get built before a '94, #5111? Things that make one think, "Hmmm....?!?" Goes to show that I haven't a clue how they really numbered them.

Folks:

Maybe this will help some with the numbers game:

Our Allure 470 is an 2009 #31688. #30 through #31 is the "Allure" designation. From 1999, #30 went to #31 in mid 2004 after they built enough Allure models sequentially to reach the #31 designation.

The #688 for us, is the #31"688" Allure completed since mid 2004. We were an early build in 2009 and even more unusually a Crane Prairie (CP).

CC only built 18 CP starting in late 2008, Also, 18 in 2009 and only one recorded in 2010. There is the 2016 prototype CP that Bob Lee built from the 2010 as a guide. In total about 38 CPs were produced, but CC thought that there maybe a second 2010 produced, but could not confirm. I know Dennis has the only 2010 that I know of, (The Lee guide DP), but one more may have been produced. CC do not have all of the records on hand.

Hope this helps!

While I'm no expert, it seems the first a/or second digit is the model, then the other digits are the build numbers.

Our Allure is #31688. I think the #31 = Allure, but not sure.

If your referring to the Allure CP I bought from Ron Lee, it is registered as an 09. He said he did use it as a pattern, per say, for the 17 he built other than the dinning/living area but I would imagine any 09 Allure could have been the pattern. The coach is #31700, just 12 from yours. I don't know of a 2010 Allure built. Ron had a 2010 Magna he had for sale at the time I bought mine. Interesting info about the numbers!

My hubby and I have a 2010 Inspire, Venice model. I think most of the others they built in 2010 were Veranda models, and they didn't seem to be popular. Ours is #52175. It has the table and 4 chairs.

We are selling ours. We have an aged parent living with us that keeps us from leaving.

What is the best site to sell one? We have a local broker that sure wants to give it a try, but jeez that is expensive!!

The 2010 coach has a lot of standard features that had been upgrades in previous years.

Helpful hints on where to advertise it would be appreciated. Thanks Kay Neubauer

Tony

Hope to go to the FMCA this year! We're in NH and are headed to Maine in a few days. Hoping to see some colors up here soon! Will be in Aguanga around the 1st of Nov. Will you be in FMCA? I plan on taking the coach to AZ and having solar installed this winter so hopefully can schedule it at the same time as FMCA!

Hi Kay:

Your biggest problem will be financing. As a private seller you may not be able to provide that option so your buyers are going to be slim. Maybe consignment is the best option to consider. Sorry to say the market has not been kind to MH for several years. As a buyer its great, as a seller not so much. I have not used a consignment broker, so I would like other to make recommendations on that. Good luck.

Dennis:

Yes we booked last week (March 7-10, 2017) as I wanted the 50A option. You may want to look at that now as they are limited in spaces. I spoke with Sarah Stolz directly as you cannot get the 50A request online (800-543-3622 X 247). Our registration number is 15079 if you would like to be close by us. No site number yet, or map, so not sure when we will see that. We are both going to a newbie and driving class, then requested volunteering, so we may need to arrive early, not sure yet.

Glad you are going. Look forward to meeting you both. Would like to discuss your solar experience as Sheri is pressing me to do it.
