Hi all!
Planning a trip to Knoxville TN, then to Savannah GA, then to St. Augustine FL. Looking for recommendations for nice RV resorts or campgrounds in these 3 locations. I would appreciate any suggestions and information! Thank you!

I am From Savannah, Ga. we too have a CC Magna and camp there when visiting relatives and friends..
Actually one of the very nicest places is 'Skidaway Island State Park".. they do have about 15 sites that are pull thru with 50 amp service and sewer hook ups.. The sites are huge and very well kept. the other choice is Red Gate Farms.. A bit out in the Country yet very close to everything via the expressway into town. A farm setting, no frills but all amenities. Nice walking areas, petting farm and horses etc.
Jacksonville only has two places, Pecan Park, on the interstate and easy on and off. good for a night or two. All concrete pull thru sites. (No shade). the other is Flamingo Lakes and is more family friendly Nice Lake for swimming and something happening every day. Also pull thru sites.
Hope this helps.

Steve,
When in Savannah stay at Skidaway Island state park, the best state park we have ever done....
Good luck with your trip

Not many good parks in Knoxville but about 25-30 miles away are 2 good options:
River Plantation RV Resort, Sevierville TN Anchor Down RV Resort, Dandridge, TN
you can check rv parks on http://www.rvparkreviews.com
For Savannah, try Skidaway Island State Park. Again, not many good options in the area.
If Skidaway doesn't work out, 2 lesser options are Red Gate and Hardeeville RV Park about 9 miles away. They do have pull thrus in the open for satellite.
Buy a trolley ticket.
For St Augustine, again not many fancy parks. Anastasia State Park is beautiful but tight for larger rig and only 30 amp service and they are probably booked on the weekends. Don't think they have sewer hookups either and no satellite due to trees.
You might check out Stagecoach RV Park. Not fancy but has pull thrus, full hookups, cable TV. Convenient location off I-95.
In St Augustine you can purchase an all day trolley pass. Hop on/hop off.
Enjoy your trip!

Flamingo Lakes is a winner. CCI and the Diesel RV Club have held rallies there.

I would heartily recommend Anchor Down Resort in Dandridge, Red Gate in Savannah ( although you can stay at the Welcome Center with no utilities for 6 or 7 dollars a night for a two night stretch) and North Beach Resort in St. Augustine ( beautiful sunrise and sunset with the ocean on one end and a river view on the other). Check out the private castle close to North Beach. You have to make a reservation for a private tour. Enjoy !!!
