I have 40 foot allure 370 ILS. Anyone with the same set up figured what the Air Filter Restriction Gauge says when you replace the air filter..
They say add 15 to the initial number with a new filter, and that is the number you need to replace..
Anyone ever do that? Any thoughts?

Those gauges are not very accurate and I was told by Cummings not to go by it.
I found that I get better mileage changing mine every 15k. We don't travel often on gravel roads but the filter is still quite dirty when I change it.

Hi Folks,
Just a cautionary note.
Every time you change the air filter, you increase the chance of particulates being deposited on the inside of the intake which will be sucked into the engine. This can cause engine rough operation to injector blockage.
Cummins Diesel recommends as few as possible filter replacements. For myself, I just replaced the filter for the 3rd time at 101,000 miles, one at 35k miles, one at 71k miles and this last one.
My diesel mileage has remained the same at 8.5-8.6 mi/gal.
