Some years back (after 2006) there were a number of CC that had the generator fuel line connected to the engine outlet of the fuel tank while the engine fuel line was connected to the generator outlet. This caused the engine to run out of fuel when the fuel level got to a quarter tank. Ever since then I have been very wary of letting the tank get very much below half full. However, lately I have been traveling in some areas where the truck stops and diesel fuel have been very scarce. Is there any way to tell if your generator and/or engine fuel lines are connected to the proper fuel pick-up points? Does anyone know if the mix-up was limited to a specific series of coaches or if it was just random? I have tried to do searches for past messages on the issue but have not had much luck.

Sorry, I fat-fingered the coach number - it is 51905.

Hi John,
I've got coach 51919 and I've run mind well below a quarter of a tank with no issues. We should compare notes on other aspects as well.
