I'm not excited about 4 each 6 volt batteries for my coach needs. I've owned several MGBs that had 2 each 6 volts to make the 12 volts. The multiple connections are a pain to keep corrosion free... Someone mentioned using Interstate U2200 vesres Trojans. Have others had success at using Interstate instead of Trojan brand. Is anybody using TRUE deep cycle 12 volts? I see on Interstatebattery.com 3 ea. 12-v deep cycles are offered, but they have less capacity than a 6 volt. Guess that answers my question. Go with the multiple 6 volts and live with constant cleaning of all those connecitons......

May be I missed something too but I don't see the advantage of changing to a Golf Cart Battery. The 8D battery is designed for heavy duty transits buses and trucks. They weigh about 150 lbs. and cost around $350. CC made the correct decision to give you the extra power to get you going. Take care of them and they will take care of you. All batteries have a life span of months and they generall last a few months longer if they are not heavely used.
Our batteries are 3 yr. old next month so I am looking for replacement now.

$350 for wet cell and $400 for Lifeline----go with the lifeline--- nooooooo maintanence. Check the life expectancy of the lifeline 6-8 years compared to 3 to 4 years for the wet cell 8D.

Never had that problem. Of course, I do a routine scheduled maintenace maintenance program on my coach that includes a check and cleaning of the batteries, battery tray and compartment. I then keep all the terminals sprayed with battery terminal compound. Even 12 volt batteries can get corroded terminals if they are not maintained.
